تعريف الشحم :

الشحم هو :

تكوين صلب أو شبه سائل نتيجه لتشتيت ماده مثخنه للقوام فى زيت

)كالأسفنجه فى الماء (

استخدامات الشحوم

إستخدام الشحم للاغراض التالية :

 

(الألات التى تتعرض للأتربه والرطوبه

 

– الأماكن التى يحدث فيها تسريب للزيوت

 

– عدم كفايه كميه الزيت

 

– عدم مناسبه لزوجه الزيت فى بعض الأماكن

 

-الاماكن التي تعمل في ظروف( إرتفاع الأحمال وإرتفاع السرعه )

مكونات الشحوم

– مكونات الشحم (صابونه + زيت أساسى + إضافات )

 

       انواع الإضافات (أقصى ضغط – مقاومه الأكسده – مقاومه للتأكل –   مقاومه للصدأ – مقومه للإلتصاق )

 

4- أنواع الشحوم (كالسيومى – ليثيومى – صوديومى – سليكونى )  

انواع الشحوم

  • تعتمد أنواع الشحوم على نوع القاعده (الماده القلويه) المصنع منها الشحم – وتعتمد خواص الشحم على (المظهر – الغرز )

1- الشحم الكالسيومى ( قوامه زبدى وناعم -غير قابل للذوبان فى الماء – يستخدم فى تشحيم الكراسى البسيطه – درجه حرارة التشغيل 60م – درجه التنقيط من 90م : 100م)

2- الشحم الصوديومى ( قوامه ليفى مطاط – قابل للذوبان فى الماء – يستخدم فى تشحيم كراسى البلى والبلح – درجه حرارة التشغيل 80م – درجة التنقيط من 130م : 150م ) 

3- الشحم الليثيومى ( قوامه ناعم – مقاوم للماء والرطوبة – درجة حرارة التشغيل حتى 130م – درجة التنقيط من 160م : 180م – يستخدم فى تشحيم كراسى البلى والبلح فى  مدى واسع من درجات الحرارة والسرعات العالية)  ويعتبر الشحم الليثيومى هو الأكثر إستخداما عن الشحوم الأخرى

4- الشحم السليكونى :- لايستخدم فى تركيبه الصابونه  العادية كما فى الشحوم الأخرى ولكن يستخدم السليكون لتثخين الزيت ليعطى نفس شكل الشحم (زيت + سليكون ) ويستخدم فى درجة حرارة تصل أعلى من 250م وايضا مقاوم للماء ويستخدم فى السرعات العالية

خواص الشحوم

  • هو مدى مطابقة الشحم للمواصفات وتقييم أداؤه

- درجه الغرز

هى  قياس مدى صلابة الشحم او ليونته وتعرف درجة الغرز بأنها المسافة (بوحدة 1, مم ) التى ينغرز فيها مخروط قياس فى الشحم تحت تأثير وزنة والجاذبية الأرضية لمدة 5 ثوان عند 25م   ( الشحم الطرى غرزه كبير / الشحم الناشف غرزه قليل ) ثم يجرى الأختبار بعد تشغيل الشحم 60 شوطا

  • وتقاس درجه الغرز حسب الجدول التالى وعليها يتحدد رقم الشحم طبقا لتقسيم المعهد القومى لشحوم التزييت  L.G.I  National Lubricating Grease  Institute                                                              – أرقام الغرز (000–00–0–1–2–3–4–5–6)
  • درجه الغرز (445/475-400/430-355/385-310/340-265/295-220/250-175/205-130/160-85/115)
  • 00 -000يستخدم فى صناديق التروس و0-1-2 تشحيم مركزى و 2-3 تشحيم عام والكراسى البسيطه عديمه الإحتكاك والبلى والبلح و4-5-6 بعض الكراسى المكشوفه بالماكينات القديمة .

Mobilgrease XHP™ 460 Series

Product Description

Mobilgrease XHP™ 460 greases are extended service lithium complex greases intended for a wide variety of heavy duty applications and operating conditions. These greases were designed to outperform conventional products by applying high performance proprietary lithium complex manufacturing technology. They are formulated to provide excellent high temperature performance with excellent adhesion, structural stability and resistance to water contamination. These greases have a high level of chemical stability and offer excellent protection against rust and corrosion. These greases feature high dropping points and maximum recommended operating temperature of 140º C (284°F). Mobilgrease XHP 460 greases are formulated with an ISO VG 460 base oil viscosity and are available in NLGI grades 1 and 2. Mobilgrease XHP 462 Moly is fortified with 3% molybdenum disulfide to provide enhanced EP and AW protection in heavily loaded and high sliding applications.

Mobilgrease XHP 460 greases are designed for a wide range of applications including the industrial, automotive, construction and marine sectors. Their performance features make them ideal choices for operating conditions including high temperature, water contamination, shock loading and extended re-lubrication operations. Mobilgrease XHP 462 Moly is an extreme pressure grease containing 3% molybdenum disulfide that provides protection from wear under pivoting and other heavily loaded sliding conditions that lead to lose of oil film.

Applications

Mobilgrease XHP 460 greases are used in a wide range of equipment including industrial, automotive, construction and marine applications.  The blue color of Mobilgrease XHP 461 and 462 enables easy verification of application.  With its high, ISO VG 460 base oil viscosity, these greases are recommended for high load applications at slow-to-moderate speeds, including most bearing applications in the paper, construction, and mining industries, as well as off-highway vehicles.

Specific applications:

  • Mobilgrease XHP 461 is recommended by ExxonMobil for use in industrial and marine applications, chassis components and farm equipment. It provides excellent low temperature performance. It is satisfactory  for low speed flexible gear-type couplings.
  • Mobilgrease XHP 462 Series is recommended for use in felt roll bearings, wet end bearings, and press section bearings. It is also a good multi-purpose grease for general mill applications and industrial and marine applications, chassis components and farm equipment.
  • Mobilgrease XHP 462 Moly is fortified with 3% molybdenum disulfide and is particularly recommended by ExxonMobil for applications such as bucket pins and fifth wheels, where molybdenum disulphide provides an extra level of protection where sliding friction and oscillating motion can lead to rupturing of the oil film, resulting in metal to metal contact.

Mobilith SHC™ Series Grease

Product Description

Mobilith SHC™ Series greases are superior performance products designed for a wide variety of applications at extremes of temperature. They combine the unique features of synthetic base fluids with those of a high quality lithium complex thickener. The wax-free nature of synthetic fluids and the low coefficient of traction (compared with mineral oils), provide excellent low temperature pumpability and very low starting and running torque. These products offer the potential for energy savings and can reduce operating temperatures in the load zone of spherical roller and ball bearings. The lithium complex thickener contributes excellent adhesion, structural stability and resistance to water. The greases have a high level of chemical stability and are formulated with special additive combinations to provide excellent protection against wear, rust and corrosion, and providing operating viscosity at high and low temperatures. Mobilith SHC Series greases are available in seven grades, varying in base oil viscosity from ISO VG 100 to 1500 and in NLGI grade from 2 to 00.

Applications

Application Considerations: While Mobilith SHC Series greases are compatible with most mineral oil based products, admixture may detract from their performance. Consequently it is recommended that before changing a system to one of the Mobilith SHC Series, it should be thoroughly cleaned out to achieve the maximum performance benefits. While the Mobilith SHC Series greases share many performance benefits, their applications are best described in terms of each product grade:

  • Mobilith SHC 100 is an antiwear and extreme pressure grease primarily recommended for higher speed applications such as electric motors, where reduced friction, low wear and long service life are required. It is an NLGI 2 Grade / ISO VG 100 grease with a synthetic base fluid. Its operating temperature range is -40º C* to 150º C.
  • Mobilith SHC 220 is a multi-purpose, NLGI 2 extreme pressure grease recommended for heavy-duty automotive and industrial applications. It uses an ISO VG 220 synthetic base fluid. Mobilith SHC 220 has a recommended operating temperature range of -40º C* to 150º C.
  • Mobilith SHC 221 is a multi-purpose, extreme pressure grease recommended for heavy-duty automotive and industrial applications, particularly where centralized grease systems are utilized. It uses an ISO VG 220 synthetic base fluid. Mobilith SHC 221 has a recommended operating temperature range of -40º C to 150º C.
  • Mobilith SHC 460 is an NLGI 1.5 Grade grease with ISO VG 460 synthetic base fluid and is an extreme pressure grease recommended for tough industrial and marine applications. It provides outstanding bearing protection under heavy loads at low-to-moderate speeds and in applications where water resistance is a critical factor. Mobilith SHC 460 has demonstrated outstanding performance in steel mills, paper mills and marine applications. The recommended operating temperature range is -30º C* to 150ºC.
  • Mobilith SHC 1000 Special is an NLGI 2 Grade grease with ISO VG 1000 synthetic base fluid and strongly fortified with solid lubricants including 11% graphite and 1% molybdenum disulphide for maximum protection of plain or rolling element bearings operating under boundary lubrication regimes. This product is designed to extend bearing life under conditions of extremely slow speeds, sliding contacts, and high temperatures. Mobilith SHC 1000 Special has a recommended operating temperature of -30°C* to 150 °C with appropriate relubrication intervals.
  • Mobilith SHC 1500 is an NLGI 1.5 Grade / ISO VG 1500 grease with a synthetic base fluid. It is intended for use in plain and rolling element bearings operating at extremely slow speeds, under heavy loads and high temperatures. Mobilith SHC 1500 has a recommended operating temperature range of -30 ºC* to 150 ºC with appropriate relubrication intervals. Continuous lubrication with Mobilith SHC 1500 has been very effective in prolonging bearing life in a severe roll press application. Mobilith SHC 1500 has also provided excellent performance in rotary kiln roller bearings and in slag transfer rail car bearings.
  • Mobilith SHC 007 is an NLGI 00 Grade / ISO VG 460 grease with a synthetic base fluid; it has a recommended operating temperature range of -50º C to 150 º C with appropriate relubrication intervals. Its primary uses are in grease filled industrial gear cases subject to high temperatures, where conventional semi fluid greases will not provide acceptable lubricant life and in non-driven heavy-duty truck trailer wheel hubs.

*Low temperature claims based on ASTM D 1478 results vs. maximum limits of 10,000 / 1000 gcm @ startup and 1 hour respectively.
